Children’s Services Council of Martin County

This week most of us received our 2011 notice of PROPOSED property taxes. There is a little line item on there for “Children’s Services”. What is that all about? I had no idea until this year when I started a multimedia project to help the general public understand the work of this organization.

The Children’s Services Council of Martin County (CSCMC) is an independent special district of local government, with purpose to plan, coordinate, fund, and evaluate programs and to address public policy issues relating to children in Martin County.

Over the last few months I have really started to see and understand the very important work of the CSCMC and its many funded agencies. The work that is done with our small contributions is substantial, touching the lives of so many kids and families.

Follow the link below to view the piece on the CSCMC and learn how your contribution helps strengthen Martin County’s future generation. From what I have observed and learned, this is a good example of tax dollars well spent.
