Friday – a lot going on…

This morning started the day with friends Steve and Vada, 2 other local visual artists I met up with for breakfast at the Osceaola Street Cafe. It’s always great to share ideas, talk about projects, and eat a hearty breakfast.

Afterwards I went over the Stuart Boat Show for a bit…I like riding that downtown trolly..

On air celebs Gary and Robin doing their thing….

Stopped in to see my favorite models Kimberly and Kristy for a little sassy fix….

Last stop was over to the WaterPoint Realty Booth to see if my giant prints made their space look good… It seems that way…

At 5PM, it was the Howard Schafer Book Signing & Reception at the Court House Cultural Center Galleries…..

…first the ribbon cutting cermony for the gallery renovations and the donors that gave generously to make it happen. Members of the Martin County Community Foundation and others where on hand with the big scissor. Fortunately, no one got stabbed.

The reception for Howard Schafer’s, and the book signing by author Bion B. Bierer began immediately aftewards.

It was a fabulous 3 hr turnout.

You can view all the images from the reception with the link at the bottom of today’s blog..

After the reception, I walked over to Music Fest to check it out. It’s a cool event, kid friendly, well attended..

Finally,  I walked over to a new gallery on Osceola Street – Osceola32. They had a artist featured that paints watercolor with a pallet knife – Marian Christy.

Over there I met Gary Jamison, a cool guy who I have run into before around town. I guess I looked all geared up, so he challenged me to make him look good with one shot. I took him on….
